APPOINTMENT PREPARATION GUIDE
A beautiful makeup application begins with proper preparation. These guidelines are designed to help you feel comfortable, confident, and ready for your appointment.
1. Skincare Preparation
Please arrive with clean skin, free of makeup.
Maintain your regular skincare routine leading up to your appointment and moisturize according to your skin's needs.
Avoid introducing unfamiliar skincare products, aggressive exfoliation, or treatments that may cause sensitivity or irritation immediately before your appointment.
Professional skincare treatments may be beneficial for some clients, but they are never required.
2. Facial Hair & Dermaplaning
Natural facial hair, including peach fuzz, is completely normal and does not need to be removed before a makeup application.
However, complexion products can sometimes make facial hair more noticeable, particularly under certain lighting conditions or when using fuller-coverage products.
If you prefer facial hair removal, including dermaplaning, waxing, threading, or other grooming methods, consider scheduling these treatments sufficiently in advance to allow your skin to recover.
Facial hair removal is entirely optional. Your application will be customized to your skin and preferences regardless of your grooming choices.
Please avoid facial hair removal immediately before your appointment if your skin is prone to irritation, redness, or sensitivity.
3. Brow Preparation
If you prefer waxing, threading, or tweezing your brows, consider doing so at least 24–48 hours before your appointment, or earlier if your skin requires additional recovery time.
Brow grooming is not required, and your makeup application can be adjusted to your natural brows.
4. Lip Preparation
Keep your lips moisturized in the days leading up to your appointment.
Dry or chapped lips may affect how certain lip products apply and wear throughout the day.
5. Inspiration & Preferences
You're welcome to bring inspiration photos or examples of makeup looks you enjoy.
Please communicate any specific preferences regarding coverage, colors, lashes, finishes, or overall makeup intensity.
Inspiration photos serve as a creative reference. Your final application will be adapted to your unique features.
6. Allergies & Skin Sensitivities
Please disclose any known allergies, product sensitivities, or relevant skin concerns during booking.
This allows me to make informed product selections and determine whether modifications may be necessary.
7. Clothing & Hair Appointments
Consider wearing a button-up, off-the-shoulder, or easily removable top to avoid disturbing your finished makeup.
If you're scheduling professional hair styling for the same occasion, I recommend completing your hair appointment before makeup whenever possible.
8. During Your Appointment
Your comfort and satisfaction are important.
Please feel welcome to communicate your preferences, ask questions, and provide feedback throughout your application.
My goal is to create a welcoming, professional environment where you feel comfortable expressing your needs.

BOOKING POLICIES & CLIENT INFORMATION
Please review the following policies before scheduling your appointment. These guidelines are designed to provide clear expectations and ensure a professional, comfortable experience for every client.
1. BOOKING & RETAINER REQUIREMENTS
Appointment Reservations
A signed booking agreement and a non-refundable retainer equal to 50% of the total service price are required to secure an appointment.
Your retainer is applied toward your final service balance and is not an additional charge.
Appointments are not confirmed until all required booking steps have been completed.
Advance Booking
Clients are encouraged to schedule appointments in advance, particularly during holidays, graduation season, and other high-demand periods.
Availability is limited, and appointments are accepted according to the booking calendar.
2. PAYMENT TERMS
Final Payment
The remaining service balance is due on or before the appointment date.
Accepted payment methods may include:
Credit or debit card
Cash
Venmo
Cash App
PayPal
Available payment options will be confirmed during booking.
3. CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING
Client Cancellations
Retainers are non-refundable for client-initiated cancellations.
If you cancel your appointment rather than reschedule under the eligible transfer policy, your retainer will be forfeited.
You will not be charged the remaining service balance solely because of a cancellation or no-show.
Repeated cancellations or missed appointments may result in restrictions on future bookings.
One-Time Retainer Transfer
I understand that unexpected circumstances can arise.
Clients are permitted one complimentary transfer of their existing retainer when a rescheduling request is submitted at least 48 hours before the originally scheduled appointment.
The rescheduled appointment must take place within 30 calendar days of the original appointment date and is subject to availability.
The retainer may only be transferred once.
Additional rescheduling requests, or requests that do not meet these requirements, will require a new retainer.
Retainers cannot be transferred to another individual.
Artist-Initiated Cancellations
In the unlikely event that I must cancel your appointment and cannot provide the agreed service, you will have the option to receive a full refund of payments received or request an alternative appointment date, subject to availability.
If you choose to reschedule following an artist-initiated cancellation, your existing payments will be applied to the new appointment without requiring an additional retainer.
If an unexpected emergency or circumstance affects your appointment, I will communicate with you as promptly as reasonably possible.
4. APPOINTMENT TIMING & LATENESS
Client Arrival
Please arrive on time to ensure you receive your complete makeup experience.
Late arrivals may result in a shortened application to avoid affecting subsequent appointments.
If the remaining appointment time is insufficient to complete your selected service safely and professionally, rescheduling may be required.
Any applicable retainer forfeiture will follow the cancellation and rescheduling policy.
Artist Delays
I value your time and make every effort to begin appointments as scheduled.
In the event of an unexpected delay, I will communicate with you as promptly as possible.
For artist-caused delays of 15 minutes or more, a courtesy adjustment may be offered as outlined in your booking agreement.
If a significant delay prevents your service from being completed as agreed, an appropriate rescheduling or refund option will be provided.
5. HEALTH, SAFETY & SANITATION
Skin Conditions & Illness
For the safety of all clients, makeup services cannot be performed over active contagious skin or eye conditions.
Examples include:
Active cold sores
Impetigo
Ringworm or other contagious fungal skin infections
Conjunctivitis, commonly known as pink eye
Suspected contagious skin rashes or infections
Services may also need to be modified or postponed when open wounds, actively bleeding skin, or significant irritation affect the application area.
Common noncontagious skin concerns, including acne, rosacea, and eczema, do not automatically prevent a makeup application.
Please communicate any concerns before your appointment so we can determine whether service modifications or rescheduling are appropriate.
Sanitation Practices
Professional sanitation practices are followed throughout every appointment.
Brushes, tools, products, and disposable applicators are handled using appropriate hygiene procedures to help maintain a clean and professional environment.
6. GUEST POLICY
To maintain a comfortable, sanitary, and professional environment, appointments are reserved for the individual receiving services.
Additional guests are not permitted in the makeup area unless approved in advance.
Clients requiring assistance or accommodations are encouraged to communicate their needs before booking so appropriate arrangements can be discussed.
7. CLIENT SATISFACTION & SERVICE EXPECTATIONS
Your makeup experience is a collaborative process, and your satisfaction is important to me.
Every application is customized according to your selected service, individual features, skin type, and communicated preferences.
I encourage open communication throughout the appointment regarding coverage, colors, makeup intensity, comfort, and overall appearance.
Before your appointment is complete, you will have an opportunity to review your makeup and request reasonable refinements within the scope of your selected service.
Adjustments & Refunds
Reasonable adjustments requested during the appointment will be accommodated whenever possible.
Requests that substantially change the original service or require additional application time may be subject to availability and additional fees, which will be discussed before proceeding.
Because professional makeup artistry involves dedicated time, labor, expertise, and products, completed services are generally non-refundable solely because of a change in personal preference.
If you have a concern about the quality or completion of your service, please communicate it promptly so it can be reviewed and addressed appropriately.
Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies available under applicable law.
8. PHOTOGRAPHY, CONTENT CREATION & CLIENT PRIVACY
Your Comfort Comes First
Photography and video recording are entirely optional and are not required to receive makeup services.
Your privacy, comfort, and personal preferences will always be respected.
During booking, you will have the opportunity to indicate whether you consent to photographs or videos of your makeup application being captured and used for portfolio, website, social media, or promotional purposes.
Declining promotional photography or video will not affect your booking eligibility, service quality, pricing, or overall experience.
Photography & Promotional Usage
With your permission, photographs or video may be captured to document the completed makeup application and showcase professional artistry.
Approved content may be considered for use in:
Professional makeup portfolios
Website galleries
Social media content
Educational makeup demonstrations
Promotional materials within the agreed consent scope
Providing consent does not guarantee that photographs or videos will be captured or published.
Content selection is based on artistic direction, lighting, presentation, image quality, and overall suitability for the intended platform.
Personal Styling & Presentation
I understand that clients may not always arrive with their complete hair, wardrobe, or styling finished.
If you would prefer not to be photographed or recorded because your overall appearance is not fully styled, you are welcome to decline without explanation.
Photography is never a requirement of your makeup appointment.
Consent & Privacy
Your photography preferences will be documented during booking.
Content will not be used for promotional purposes without your authorization.
Separate permission will be requested for uses outside the scope of your original consent.
If you have questions or concerns regarding photography, please communicate them before or during your appointment.
9. ADDITIONAL FEES & SPECIAL BOOKINGS
Early Appointment Requests
Appointments beginning before 8:00 AM may be subject to an additional $40 early-start fee.
Any applicable fee will be disclosed before your appointment is confirmed.

A $75 holiday surcharge may apply to appointments scheduled on designated holidays, including:
