Your guide to a beautiful, long-lasting makeup experience.

Skin Preparation
Healthy, well-prepared skin creates the best foundation for a smooth, beautiful makeup application.
In the days leading up to your appointment:
Maintain your regular skincare routine.
Keep your skin hydrated and moisturized.
Gently exfoliate 24–48 hours beforehand only if your skin is accustomed to exfoliation.
Avoid introducing new skincare products, exfoliating acids, or retinoids within 3–5 days of your appointment.
Avoid excessive sun exposure, tanning, and aggressive exfoliation.
Do not pick at blemishes, peeling skin, or dry patches.
On appointment day: Please arrive with a clean, makeup-free face. Professional skin preparation is included with every makeup application, so you do not need to apply your own primer or skincare products immediately before arriving unless otherwise instructed.
Facials, Brows & Hair Removal
To minimize irritation and ensure makeup applies smoothly, please plan beauty treatments in advance.
Facials: Schedule gentle facials approximately 5–7 days before your appointment.
Brow Waxing or Threading: Schedule approximately 3–5 days beforehand.
Brow Tinting or Lamination: Schedule approximately 5–7 days beforehand.
Dermaplaning: If this is part of your regular routine, schedule several days beforehand to allow your skin to recover.
Facial Hair Removal: Allow adequate recovery time following waxing, threading, or other hair removal treatments.
Chemical Peels & Microneedling: Follow your skincare professional's recommended healing timeline and avoid scheduling these treatments close to your makeup appointment.
Freshly treated, irritated, or compromised skin can affect makeup application and wear.
Brows & Lips
Please groom your brows according to your personal preferences before arriving. Brow waxing, threading, and shaping are not included in your makeup service.
Keep your lips moisturized in the days leading up to your appointment. If needed, gently exfoliate dry lips beforehand, provided your skin tolerates it.
Avoid picking or peeling dry skin.
Showering, Hair Washing & Steam
Please complete all showering and hair washing before your makeup appointment.
Hot showers, steam, and excessive humidity can compromise your finished makeup, causing products to shift, separate, or wear down prematurely.
If you have an early appointment, please plan to complete your shower and hair-washing routine beforehand, even if your event is scheduled for later in the day.
For the best results, avoid showering, facial steaming, and excessive heat after your makeup application.
What to Wear & Bring
Wear a button-up, zip-up, or loose-neckline top that can be removed without disturbing your makeup.
Have inspiration photos ready if you have a particular look in mind.
Share any specific preferences regarding coverage, colors, and makeup styles.
Inform me of any allergies, sensitivities, or relevant skin concerns before your appointment.
If you wear contact lenses, please insert them before your makeup application.
If your makeup is for photography, please share whether your session will be indoors, outdoors, or under studio lighting.

Keeping Your Makeup Beautiful
Your makeup is professionally applied and set using techniques designed to support longevity. However, the way you care for your makeup after leaving the studio plays an important role in how well it wears.
Professional makeup is long-wearing, not maintenance-free.
Natural skin oils, perspiration, humidity, weather, eating, drinking, and everyday activities can all affect your makeup throughout the day.
A little extra care goes a long way toward preserving your finished look.
Hands Off Your Face
Avoid unnecessarily touching, rubbing, scratching, or resting your hands against your face.
Repeated contact can disturb foundation, concealer, blush, and other products, causing makeup to transfer, separate, or wear away.
Be especially mindful when using your phone, changing clothes, hugging others, or wiping your face.
Managing Oil & Shine
It's completely normal for natural oils to appear throughout the day, particularly if you have oily or combination skin.
If you notice excess shine:
Gently blot the area using blotting paper or a clean tissue.
Avoid rubbing or dragging across the skin.
If needed, lightly apply a small amount of setting powder to restore your finish.
Always blot excess oil before applying additional powder. Layering powder directly over oil can create a heavy or uneven appearance.
Lipstick, Lip Gloss & Eating
Your lip combination may require occasional touch-ups throughout the day.
Eating, drinking, wiping your mouth, and applying other lip products can affect the appearance and longevity of your lip color.
For best results:
Use a straw when practical.
Be mindful when eating oily or greasy foods.
Gently blot your lips rather than rubbing them.
Reapply your lip color or gloss as needed.
Avoid layering unfamiliar lip products over your finished combination if you want to preserve its original appearance.
Lip products naturally experience more movement and wear than many other areas of your makeup.
Heat, Humidity & Perspiration
Excessive heat, steam, and perspiration can affect how your makeup wears.
Avoid hot showers, saunas, facial steaming, and unnecessary exposure to excessive humidity after your application.
If you begin perspiring, gently blot with a clean tissue rather than wiping or rubbing your face.
Allow your skin to cool before attempting touch-ups.
Tears & Watery Eyes
If your eyes water or you become emotional, gently catch tears with a clean tissue before they travel down your face.
Avoid rubbing your eyes or wiping across your makeup.
Waterproof and long-wear products can help reduce transfer, but no makeup is completely resistant to tears, friction, or moisture.
Makeup Removal
At the end of your day, remove your makeup thoroughly and gently.
Use a suitable makeup remover or cleansing balm, followed by your regular cleanser and moisturizer.
Remove false lashes carefully without pulling or tugging at your natural lashes.
Avoid sleeping in your makeup.
